Benjay and the Magical Bubbles – Youth Magical Realism

Benjay and the Magical Bubbles is a middle grade action adventure with a touch of fantasy (magical realism). The books are geared for youth through adult, with subject matter maturing with each book.

Benjay is a young cancer survivor with a prosthetic leg and a positive, often funny, outlook on life. The series begins with seven-year-old Benjay stumbling across Peepers, a living Bubble that talks, among many other magical abilities. Benjay has to convince his parents that his Bubbles friend is real and not another figment of his overly active imagination. A Story of Wonder develops this relationship and how the Bubbles help Benjay when his family encounters trouble.

The series continues with other adventures for Benjay, Peepers, and their families. Each book can be read as a stand-alone story, but the series is enjoyed most when read in order.
